Master Plan Update
The New Hampton Planning Board has appointed a subcommittee that will be discussing an update of the New Hampton Master Plan. The current members are Ken Mertz, Karen Gregg, and Neil Irvine. Additional members may be added in the future. This subcommittee will formulate and distribute to the public a questionnaire. They will also compile census data, future growth estimates, existing conditions, regional and state goals, etc. Once the responses have been gathered and the data is assembled it will then be used to prepare the master plan. The master plan will be used as a tool for future town planning that best fits the needs and wants of residents, property owners, and business owners, while at the same time, addressing demands on Town services.
The last Master Plan update was done in 2002, with the help of Lakes Region Planning Commission, with Chapter II – Population, being updated in 2006. Click here to view that Master Plan.
The Planning Board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Other dates may be added as necessary.
Questions regarding planning may be directed to the Selectmen's Office during their normal business hours. You may also obtain information in the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision and Site Plan Regulations found on our website under "Information Center", "Regulations/ Ordinances".
