you may be able to have those lots restored to their pre-merger status.
Your property may qualify if two or more lots were merged for zoning, assessing, or taxation purposes and the merger occurred:
· During your ownership, without your consent; OR
· Prior to your ownership, if no previous owner consented to the merger.
To restore your property to pre-merger status, you must:
· Make a request to the local governing body

Snake River Natural Resources
As previously announced in a press release (click here to read "Half-Mile of River Frontage Gets New Conservation Protection”) the New Hampton Conservation Commission contracted for a Natural Resources Inventory of the Spear Property that it purchased in 2010, which protected an 8.57 acre strip of land with about 2800 feet of frontage on the Snake River. This conservation land includes diverse wetlands and an upland buffer. These provide fish and wildlife habitat, and protect the water quality of Lake Waukewan, as well as the town's tax base.
Abenaki Environmental Services of Bristol, in conjunction with Ilex Wetlands Consultants of Wolfeboro, assessed the significant natural resources of the property. The commission plans to use the inventory to educate the public about these resources, note any changes from the baseline that it establishes, and plan for future use and management of the property and adjacent areas.
Among the functions and values for the property noted are the following:
• Groundwater Discharge
• Floodflow Detention
• Fish, Shellfish, and Wildlife Habitat, including Endangered Species
• Sediment and Toxicant Retention
• Nutrient Removal
• Shoreline Stabilization
• Recreation
• Visual Quality and Aesthetics
• Educational and Scientific Value
The commission is continuing its efforts to protect the Snake River and other wetlands in town.

New Hampton Garden Club is Seeking New Members
The New Hampton Garden Club is reaching out to the community to get new members. The Garden Club meets the 1st Tuesday, April through December, at the Gordon-Nash Library. These meetings begin at 9:30 AM and start with coffee and refreshments before their business meeting and program. It is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new friends while learning more about all phases of gardening. Their biggest projects are civic beautification, garden therapy to the elderly at Golden Crest Retirement Community, and working with the 5th Grade Jr. Garden Club at the New Hampton Community School. The club also maintains a table at the library where members put weekly floral or hobby displays. The dues are $12.50 and you can pick up a membership flyer at the library or just send your name, address, and contact information with a check made out to the New Hampton Garden Club and mail it to PO Box 242, New Hampton, NH 03256.
