Snow Removal

In the interest of the safety of both drivers and pedestrians we would appreciate your help in insuring safe roadways.

Please be advised that there is a State law and a town ordinance that prohibits moving snow into the right-of-way without moving it beyond the banks.  The reason is to avoid creating a potential safety hazard.  Any person, contractor or company plowing and leaving snow in the travel way may be subject to fines.

Thank you.

Natural Resources Mapping

The Natural Resource Inventory maps of New Hampton below are a result of several years of work. The Plymouth State University contracted with Dr. Rick Van de Poll of Ecosystem Management Consultants to do the work. Additional contributors were LRPC and GRANIT. Each map contains an explanation of the data sources used and the agencies and organizations from which the data was obtained. Wetlands maps were updated using recent aerial photos. A narrative to go with the maps, which explains the methods and findings, should be completed this summer.
