Fire Permits (Required):
Fire permits (both daily and seasonal) may be obtained at the Fire Station located at 26 Intervale Drive during normal business hours (listed below). Fire permits are required when raining. Fire permits are not required when there is a sufficient snow cover on the ground but a courtesy call to the station (744-2735) would be appreciated when burning.
The Fire Department business hours are:
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm
Our first obligation is as Emergency Responders; therefore we may not always be available.

Last year (2010) the New Hampton Fire Department responded to 537 incidents, broken down as follows:

- Engine 1:2005 International Engine w/1000 Gallon Water Tank, 1500 gpm Top Mount Pump, 5 Man Cab.
- Engine 3:1989 KME Engine w/1000 Gallon Water Tank, 1000 gpm Top Mount Pump, 6 Man Cab.
- Engine 4:1984 Ford Engine w/1000 Gallon Water Tank, 1000gpm Midship Pump, 2 Man Cab.
- Ambulance 1: 1994 LoProfile International Road Rescue Ambulance, ALS Licensed w/ Rescue & Extrication Equipment.
- Ambulance 2: 2006 Ford E-350 Road Recue Ambulance, ALS Licensed.
- F1: 1992 Ford F-350 300 gallons of water, 250 gpm portable pump, and assorted Forestry Equipment.
- Boat 1:1990 Zodiac Inflatable Boat w/ 25 horsepower Mercury outboard.
- ir Unit: 8 Bottle 6000 psi Air Supply Trailer.
- ommand 1: 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Command Vehicle
