Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee
The purpose of the Committee is to develop a document that identifies the local critical facilities, the hazards that might impact the town, and prioritized steps that can be taken to mitigate these impacts. The Committee was selected by the New Hampton Selectmen and includes the Emergency Management Director, department heads, a Selectman, a Planning Board member, and staff from New Hampton School. The final Plan will need to meet FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) guidelines and be adopted by the New Hampton Selectmen.
